Ronnie and Penny shared the tour guiding this week. Our delightful passengers were greatly entertained by Ronnie’s dulcet tones and surprise appearance in full Scottish regalia at Captain’s Diner. Nothing like a Scotsman in a kilt and sporran!

On Thursday, on the way home from Vezelay, passengers stopped at Penny’s house for an aperitif. A number of other visitors passed by as well. Brice of the leather shop in Noyers-sur-Serein on his motorbike, delivering handbags and a belt - along with a horse and carriage full of children, driven by their mother.

The family were travelling from Switzerland to Paris and were rather caught out by the heat of the day. Three of our passengers were horse owners and they leapt into action to fill nosebags and bottles for the family, who were desperate for water. Such a joy to help them out.
